WHO WE ARE

Calvary Gospel Aid Ministries (CGAM) is a Christ-centered, faith-based organization dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as commanded in Matthew 28:19–20. We exist to proclaim the Gospel, disciple nations, and extend the love of Christ through both spiritual ministry and practical support to those in need.

Founded on the belief that the Gospel transforms every part of life, CGAM embraces a holistic ministry model—reaching both hearts and homes.

Our Story

CGAM was birthed in July 2002 during a gospel missionary outreach in Budaka, Pallisa District in Eastern Uganda. During that mission, over 500 people gave their lives to Christ, and alongside the preaching of the Word, two sacks of clothes and food were distributed to the needy—a powerful sign that the Gospel must touch both soul and society.

This outreach left a lasting impact on those involved, sparking a strong burden to reach more lost souls and serve hurting communities. After a season of prayer and seeking God’s direction, Calvary Gospel Aid Ministries was officially launched.

Today, we continue in that same spirit—carrying the Gospel into homes, hearts, and communities across Uganda and beyond.

CGAM is led by Brother James Bulemu Elakas, the Vision Bearer and current Executive Director. Alongside a dedicated leadership council, he oversees the mission, growth, and outreach of the organization with a deep passion for the lost and a heart for holistic transformation.
